We reviewed the latest models across our TTS providers. Here’s what changed.
Model updates
Gemini: Voices previously offered under the Google provider now live here.
ElevenLabs: expressive model upgraded to eleven_v4.
Speechify: default model upgraded to simba-3.0.
OpenAI: default model is now gpt-4o-mini-tts.
Cartesia: default model upgraded to sonic-3.6-2026-08-27.
MiniMax: default model upgraded to speech-2.8-hd.
Provider changes
Google: the provider is removed. Its voices have moved to the Gemini provider.
Amazon Polly: the provider is deprecated after internal quality testing. These voices are removed from the library: Shaima, Lika, Margaret, Jona, Chava, Valeria, Gabriela.
Voice removed
ElevenLabs – Selena: removed at the voice actor’s request.
